Busy bow making at the moment, I got a commission off one of lisa's antique customers, making an Elm flat bow for her and after working most of the day decided to give my last creation a workout. This bow is a laminate of Elm and Birdseye Maple, it draws approx 70lb @ 26in and is only 60inches long, as usual several arrows were lost in the long grass, well lost until Erik the flatcoat was put on the case, best arrow finding retriever this side of the Atlantic only problem is you have to be right next to him when he finds them or he tries to pull them out with his teeth and then proceeds to shred them.

Opened the tote we use to store garden implements in and there staring back at me was a garter snake, it must be looking for a place to hibernate or shed its skin the latter was true as I found its shed skin down the side of the box anyway I put the lid back on and left it to do it's thing.

No sign of Bear tracks in the brushout/track trap, in fact no sign of anything ,,,,, most unusual as the Coyotes were howling away last night and sounded real close.
